Currently, San FranciscoCounty is developing a 4-H Urban presence in San Francisco with afterschool partners. 4-H has been providing enrichment garden-based and nutrition programming to both in school and afterschool programs. We have trained teachers and afterschool staff on various curricula, including Power Play, Farm to Fork, Nutrition to Grown On, and TWIGS. 4-H has collaborated with the Food Stamp Nutrition Education Program (FSNEP) program to extend nutrition curricula and resources and to improve the overall health of limited-income individuals, families, and youth.
We provide the following free nutrition education services to eligible schools and agencies:
