Registration for the 2008
Master Gardener Training Course
Opens April 1

University of California Cooperative Extension will be offering its third Master Gardener Training Course for residents of San Mateo and San Francisco Counties in September 2008. If you love to garden, want to learn more about protecting the environment, and enjoy sharing your knowledge with others, the Master Gardener Volunteer program provides a unique opportunity to put your gardening and horticulture knowledge into practice.


The Master Gardener Program is open to any resident in San Mateo or San Francisco counties. Applicants to the program are selected based on their interest in horticulture and ability to fulfill the commitment of service and education. To download an application form and an information sheet, click on the Master Gardener link or call the Master Gardener Program Coordinator at 650-726-9059, extension 109 to have the documents mailed to you.

Upon acceptance into the program, students must pay a fee of $175 for training costs and materials. The deadline for registration is June 30, 2008.
